FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This page answers what actually matters before you start. If you want real power, proper drivability, and a calibration built for your setup, this is how it works.

WHAT IS REMOTE TUNING

  • Remote tuning is a custom ECU calibration done without the car being physically present. You send your ECU file, we modify it, you flash it, and we refine it using real logs.

  • We do not rely on a single platform like HP Tuners. We use a variety of tools depending on the vehicle, but the core of our work is deeper than standard software access.

  • We specialize in reverse engineering ECU .bin files and working directly with stock ECU logic using WinOLS. That means working at hex level — identifying and defining maps, modifying control strategies, and accessing areas that are not exposed in normal tuning tools.

  • This allows us to:

    • Tune vehicles that are limited by standard platforms

    • Modify hidden tables and control logic

    • Build custom solutions for complex setups

    • Fully optimize combinations that typical tuners cannot

  • This is not a one-time file. It is a data-driven process built around your exact setup.

CAN YOU TUNE MY CAR

  • If you can read, flash, and datalog your ECU — yes.

  • We specialize heavily in GM platforms including:

  • C8 Corvette Stingray

  • C8 Z06

  • C7 Corvette (N/A, cam package, boosted)

  • 6th Gen Camaro SS and ZL1

  • Stock, modified, heads/cam, supercharged, or twin turbo setups are all supported.

What makes us different:

  • We go beyond standard tool limitations.

  • We reverse engineer calibrations, define custom maps, and adjust parameters that are not available in typical tuning software.

  • Using WinOLS, we can modify deeper ECU logic and implement changes that are not accessible to most tuners. This is critical for high-end builds where factory strategies become a limitation.

CUSTOM OR GENERIC

  • 100% custom.

  • No pre-made files. Every calibration is built based on your setup, fuel, and real-world data.

  • Especially critical for:

    • C8 Corvette tuning

    • C7 Corvette heads and cam packages

    • Magnuson or ported blower setups

    • Twin turbo C8 builds

  • Generic files do not work correctly on these setups.

HOW MUCH POWER

  • Power is always individual and depends on your exact setup, fuel, and overall condition of the car.

  • If you provide your full mod and spec list, we can give you a rough expectation based on similar setups we’ve tuned.

  • The goal of custom tuning is not a fixed number — it’s to push your setup as far as conditions allow while staying within a safe operating range.

  • We focus on usable, repeatable power — not inflated dyno numbers.

IS IT SAFE

  • On a healthy car, yes.

  • We control:

    • Air/fuel ratio

    • Ignition timing

    • Knock response

    • Torque management

    • Fuel system limits and much more

  • If the car has issues, they will show up and must be fixed.

WHAT IS A BASEMAP

  • Safe starting file used to begin datalogging.

  • From there, we refine step-by-step using real data until the calibration is complete.

WHY DATALOGGING IS CRITICAL

  • Your tune is only as good as your data.

  • We analyze:

  • Fuel trims

  • Knock retard

  • Airflow models

  • Torque model behavior

  • Boost behavior

  • This is what separates real tuning from guesswork.

WHAT DO I NEED TO START

  • Laptop

  • Flashing tool compatible with your ECU

  • Wideband recommended for performance setups

  • Datalogging capability

  • We guide you on exact tools for your setup.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

  • Send file

  • Flash basemap

  • Log data

  • Get revision

  • Repeat until complete

  • Each revision improves drivability, power, and consistency.

HOW LONG IT TAKES

  • 1-Day Session: fast results for prepared cars

  • 90-Day Window: flexible, ideal for builds and troubleshooting

  • Complex builds require multiple revisions.

WHAT IF MY CAR HAS ISSUES

  • Tuning exposes problems.

  • Common issues:

  • Boost leaks

  • Fuel system limitations

  • Incorrect airflow modeling

  • Sensor or mechanical faults

  • We identify the issue, you fix it, then we continue tuning.

CAN YOU TUNE BOOSTED AND HIGH HP BUILDS

  • Yes.

  • Twin turbo setups

  • Supercharged setups

  • High horsepower builds

  • Over 500 GM vehicles tuned in the last 1.5 years alone, and growing daily.

WILL MY CAR PASS EMISSIONS

  • No guarantee.

  • All tuning is for off-road use only.

TIMING AND SCHEDULE:

Customer purchased custom remote tune will have two options for scheduling tune session (a - 1 day / b - 90 day)

a) discuss and set day / time when both sides are available and ready for tune session, so process will start and finish whatever it takes to achieve result. meaning that process will be limited within agreed time range (1 day).

BUT, if something goes wrong, there will be time needed to fix some issues such as: boost leak, spark blow out, gasket leak etc that requires much more time than just hour of work - meaning postphone session will be subject to charge 50% of service cost additionally for next fixed time schedule.

this option is good:

for well prepared cars from reptable shops that have done all checks prior to tuning it.

for people who would like to tune car on dyno only and have limited time.

b) Customer will have 90 days available to get car tuned. Yes 90!

it means customer will:

Send logs to us when he has time for it. - not linked to our availability.

have possibility to fix minor or big issues occured in tune process. (even rebuild engine if one goes bad)

get revision from us as soon as possible whenever we are available day or night (not rushing us)
